The Shadow Systems long-slide MR920L is built on the compact-sized MR920 frame. The MR920L has noticeably less muzzle rise than the MR920. Interchangeable backstraps allow shooters to adjust the grip angle to fit their natural point of aim. When paired with the extended beavertail and aggressive trigger guard undercut, the MR920L offers optimal recoil control. The frame’s wrap-around grip texture is aggressive enough to keep the gun firmly in the shooter’s grip without being uncomfortable for daily wear.
The MR920L Elite features directional serrations in front, rear, and topside. Elite slides also include a weight-optimizing window cut. All Elite models feature the patent-pending multi-footprint optic cut. The match-grade barrel is conventionally rifled and spiral-fluted to improve evacuation of debris. The drop-safe, flat-faced aluminum trigger has a 4.5-5.0 lbs trigger pull and a crisp, tactile reset.
These Shadow System pistols have the patent-pending multi-footprint optic cut. This optic cut allows for the mounting of most brands of red dot optics directly to the slide without the need for intervening plates or adapters. The optic cut mounts the optic low in the slide, with the longest and strongest screws available on the market. Tested optic brands include: Trijicon, Vortex, Leupold, Holosun, SIG, Swampfox, TruGlo, Shield. The optic can be mounted low enough to allow for a lower 1/3 co-witness with the factory sights. Factory sights on Shadow Systems pistols feature a bright green tritium night sight front with a blacked out rear sight to allow faster sight picture under stress.
